TGS 8410

The sensing element is made of a metal oxide semiconductor layer formed on the silicon substrate of a sensing chip together with an integrated heater.

In the presence of the gas to detect, sensor conductivity increases according to the gas concentration in the air.

A simple electrical circuit can convert the change in conductivity to an output signal which corresponds to the gas concentration.

The TGS8410 uses filter material in its housing in order to eliminate the influence gases such as alcohol, resulting highly selective to methane.

The sensor is ideal for residential gas leackage detectors.
